Climbing Skills Workshop

From entry level to intermediate, this program will offer information and training to all levels.
All participants will learn the latest innovative techniques from skilled and qualified climbers.
All participants must bring their own Cal-OSHA approved gear to be inspected!
All participants must have a signed waiver.
This workshop will provide tree care professionals with affordable hands-on training by TreeCareLA and other volunteer instructors that have numerous years of field and competition experience. Bilingual instruction will be provided. All participants must bring their own gear including: rope, saddle, flipline, and safety gear. All equipment must be Cal-OSHA approved and will be inspected.
Climbing Stations:
- Learning the Gear - Understand your equipment & knots
- Setting Your Climbing Line - Practice your throw line
- Methods of Entry - Body thrust, DRT, SRT, etc.
- Planning & Workclimb - Maneuvers, limb walk, & safety
- Aerial Rescue - Practice the techniques necessary to save a climber
