The Society of Municipal Arborists (SMA) will hold its 56th Annual International Urban Forestry Conference on November 19, 2020 as a virtual webinar.
The Society of Municipal Arborists (SMA) seeks proposals to advance the discussion and practice of implementing and advancing Tree Equity in municipal forestry programs. Accepted presentations will be delivered via webinar at SMA’s 56th Annual International Urban Forestry Conference on Thursday, Nov 19, 2020.
Tree Equity recognizes that trees are vital to the health and wealth of cities and that too often low-income neighborhoods and some neighborhoods of color have low tree canopy cover. SMA also seeks proposals that demonstrate inclusive programming in action in outreach and master planning, hiring, encouraging minority-owned tree care enterprises and workforce development.
