Tree risk assessment, best management practices for tree health care, common insect's and diseases that attack tree and the control practices for insects and diseases.
||Insects that are attacking our trees: Wood borers such as Polyphagous shot hole borer, Ambrosia beetles. Sucking insects: aphids, scale.
||Diseases that attack roots: Root rots such as Armillaria root rot and Phytophora root rot. Proper cultural practices to reduce the potential of root rots. Nutrition for trees, understanding the importance of soil management in regards to soil nutrients.
||Tree Risk Assessment: Discussion on structural weak branch attachment, why topping is harmful to a tree. Improper planting, girdling roots, the importance of deadwood removal, encourage the 3 point pruning rule, proper tree planning.
