'A'ole Aloha Aloha

As I reflect on my tenure as President of the Western Chapter, I am filled with gratitude and pride for the important, innovative initiatives that we have begun together. It has been a privilege and an honor to serve this professional community over the past 6 years. As I step down as President, I am reminded of the incredible dedication and commitment that each of you has shown during my tenure in advancing our shared mission and initiatives.

However, we are just starting down this exciting path of developing meaningful micro-credentials and driving marketing that will support stronger understanding of the value of professional, competent arborists. I look forward to continuing to work with all to drive these initiatives to operational status that should further lift our industry and enhance professionalism and service.

During my time as President, launching micro-credential development and conducting our inspiring San Diego Annual Conference, I have to believe that we are strengthening the foundation of our organization in a way that will continue to positively impact the work of our members and the community we serve. These achievements are a testament to the hard work, passion, and collaboration of our members, volunteers, and staff.

I am deeply grateful to the Board of Directors, whose steadfast support and guidance have been invaluable throughout my tenure. Your wisdom and support of my strategic vision have been instrumental in shaping our chapter's direction and ensuring its continued success. To our dedicated volunteers and committee members, thank you so very much for your tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to advancing our programs and initiatives. Your contributions, big and small, have and will continue to make a significant difference.

I also want to express my appreciation to our staff members who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth and very effective operation of the chapter. Your professionalism, dedication, and enthusiasm are the driving force behind high level of service for our day-to-day operations and the tangible realization of our goals.

As I pass the baton to Sarah, I have full confidence in our leadership and vision for the future of the chapter. I encourage you all to extend your support and cooperation to chapter leadership as we continue to build upon the foundation we have laid together and are continuously expanding and improving. Together, we can seize new opportunities, proactively address challenges, and further elevate our organization to new heights of excellence.

Looking forward, the continuation and realization of our micro-credential and decision-maker education initiatives will require our collective effort and strong commitment. I urge each of you to stay engaged and actively participate in our programs, events, and committees to support productive and most effective results. Your involvement is crucial to the success and sustainability of our chapter. Whether it's volunteering your time, sharing your expertise, or advocating for our cause, every contribution that you can offer makes a difference.

In closing, I extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your dedication, support, and friendship. As professional arborists, we are part of a community driven by a shared passion and commitment to advancing professionalism and fellowship. It has been an incredible journey, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have served as your President. Together, moving forward, we have the ability to maintain and expand the positive change we have started to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. I look forward to working together with you, supporting one another, and continuing to strive for excellence in everything we do.

Mahalo Nui Loa for your trust and support.
