Jocelyn artistically prunes trees and shapes landscapes. She apprenticed with Dennis Makishima, studied horticulture at Merritt College, and received a Garden Design Certificate from UC Berkeley Extension.

Jocelyn developed and taught aesthetic pruning workshops at East Bay Regional Parks Botanic Garden, has taught Arboriculture at Merritt College, and lectures on aesthetic pruning at various venues.
