Speakers:
Ryan Allen, Dudek: Ryan Allen is an urban forester with 16 years’ experience developing urban and community forestry programs with municipalities and community organizations. Mr. Allen’s work focuses on ensuring that trees are properly managed, maintained, and preserved to help create resilient and healthy communities. Mr. Allen’s background in government relations and community organizing is coupled with a deep understanding of arboriculture and urban forestry. He uses these skills and experiences to help communities create a positive impact on their local environment and generate momentum for municipalities to make lasting changes to their urban forestry programs.

Rocky Yosek, Plan-It Geo: Rocky joined PlanIT Geo in 2019 as a Tree Inventory Technician after working nearly a decade managing the operations for an urban forestry nonprofit in Tucson. He now manages and contributes to tree inventory projects around the country and manages the tree inventory crew to assure project timelines and client expectations are being met. During his time working at PlanIT Geo, he has inventoried more than 120,000 trees in 13 different states, with more than 12,000 of those trees being assessed for risk.

Jim Flott, Community Forestry Consultants: Jim Flott is the owner of Community Forestry Consultants (CFC).  CFC provides TreeWorks™ tree management software; inventories and appraisals; management plans; risk assessment and risk management plans; tree preservation plans; diagnosis; expert witness; forensic investigations; program reviews; training workshops; and urban forestry and horticultural consulting services to individuals, corporations, universities, municipalities, county and state agencies and golf courses in the United States and Canada. He received his B.S. degree in horticulture from Iowa State University and his M.S. degree in forest pathology from the University of Arizona and has over 50 years work experience in the horticulture and arboriculture industries. He has served on the ISA and PNW chapter board of directors and the Washington Community Forestry Council; an ISA certified arborist and certified municipal specialist; American Society of Consulting Arborists registered consulting arborist; and a TRAQ 

Jessika Mitchell, Davey Tree: Ms. Mitchell has over 7 years of experience designing customized tree inventory data specifications to help her clients advance their urban forestry programs.  In this talk, she’ll share stories and lessons learned while working on street and park tree inventories, invasive species research,  risk management plans, construction monitoring and data integrations with customer relationship management platforms like MyLA311.  By tailoring tree inventory software to each client and ensuring its adaptability for future needs, Ms. Mitchell has helped her clients streamline their operations, reduce overhead costs, and reach their unique goals.

Andrew Pineda, West Coast Arborists, Inc.: Andrew Pineda has been with West Coast Arborists, Inc. (WCA) since 2018 and currently serves as WCA’s GIS Manager. He specializes in utilizing geographic information systems (GIS) to advance urban forestry projects. His areas of expertise include tree inventory data collection and analysis, i-Tree assessments, tree canopy studies, planting prioritization, and managing grant-funded urban greening initiatives. With extensive knowledge of urban forestry best practices and spatial data management, Andrew works closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver effective and innovative solutions. Andrew holds an M.S. in Geographic Information Science (GIS) from CSU Long Beach, a B.A. in Environmental Science from Boston University, an FAA-certified UAS Part 107 Remote Pilot license, and is an ISA Certified Arborist with Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ).
