This intensive, one and one-half day review program prepares individuals for the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist exam. The class includes a review of each chapter in the ISA Arborists' Certification Study Guide.
Participants are strongly advised to read the study guide in advance; copies are available from the Western Chapter ISA at 559-784-8733 or from ISA at 217-335-9411.
In addition to registering for the course through the WCISA, to be eligible to take the certification exam you must file an application with exam fees to the ISA, which must be received 15 working days before the exam date. Prepayment is required. Forms are available online at www.isa-arbor.com or by calling 217-335-9411. No exceptions, no walk-ins.
This course is open to tree industry professionals, master gardeners, pest control industry professionals, and tree and garden enthusiasts, as well as to anyone who needs to prepare for the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists designation. Topics: Soil Management, Identification and Selection, Installation and Establishment, Safe Work Practices, Tree Biology, Pruning, Diagnosis and Treatment, Urban Forestry, Tree Protections, and Tree Risk Management.
