 Workshop Description:

This will be the Western Chapter ISA's fourth women's tree climbing workshop and it is designed for women who have never climbing trees before with ropes and harnesses but also those who have prior experience and want to improve their ability.

Come learn a new skill or improve your foundation in a safe and positive environment. This two and a half-day event was specifically created for women by women climbers, who have competed in tree climbing championships & are working in the tree care industry, namely Rhonda Wood, Bella Rammon, and Christina Cloer.

You will learn a multitude of styles in climbing equipment and techniques. Come network with women and female arborists from all over the country and the Pacific Southwest! This two and a half-day (overnight) adventure is ALL INCLUSIVE. Which includes room and board, and use of climbing equipment. You will leave from this climbing experience with a new skill, wonderful memories, new friends, and a sense of personal accomplishment. This workshop is limited to 20 participants.

Two scholarships to cover the registration fee, sponsored by A Plus Tree, are available to women who otherwise can't afford to attend. For more information contact Julia at julia.bartens@fire.ca.gov
