The ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (ISA TRAQ) Renewal program is now available in a fully online environment. This new format for the program allows eligible ISA TRAQ credential holders to renew their credential, by successfully completing both training and examination requirements, from the convenience of their own home/location.
The ISA TRAQ credential is valid for five years. To reinstate your qualification, you must take a one-day refresher course and exam, the TRAQ Renewal Course. This course is being offered on Thursday, December 2, 2021 virtually. You will receive a link to the Zoom webinar when you complete your registration.
You may complete the TRAQ Renewal Course course as early as 18 months prior to your expiration date. An extension past the expiration date will not be available. Once you have successfully passed the requirements, the new five-year qualification period will begin the day following the original expiration date rather than the date of passing the renewal course. This will allow you to take full advantage of the five-year qualification period.
Here are the requirements for the virtual version of the TRAQ Renewal:
- Ability to view Zoom Meetings/Webinars PC/Mac/Tablet with Web Cam (the instructor and facilitator must be able to see you on camera)
- PC/Mac/Tablet with Microphone
- Attend the Virtual Course
After completing the course and your attendance is verified, you will receive a link to take the exam securely online
- Complete the performance-based test on your own and submit your results
The webinar will be broken down into 3 sessions:
Session 1 - 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Break
Session 2 - 11:45 am - 12:45 pm
Lunch
Session 3 - 1:15 pm - 5pm
When you complete the TRAQ Renewal Course, you will earn 5 CEUs for the instructional portion of the program. These CEUs can be applied to your ISA Certified Arborist® credential, including the Tree Worker credentials. For an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist®, 2 CEUs go to practice, 2 to management, and 1 to science.

If you are registered and cannot attend the workshop - your registration can be moved to a future online workshop. He has high level knowledge, skills and abilities with the diversity of issues and challenges encountered in tropical and temperate arboriculture and vegetation management. Kevin is an ISA BCMA as well as ISA Certified Utility Specialist. Kevin currently serves on both the WCISA and Britton Fund Boards.
